Activities
IKFA serves as an information resource for up-to-date issue assessment and data analysis relevant to kayak fishing. IKFA acts as the custodian of records for fish caught while paddle fishing. IKFA provides accreditation and certification programs for retailers, fishermen and event organizers. All venues for kayak fishing including fresh water lakes, rivers and ponds as well as saltwater inshore and off shore are supported by IKFA.

International Kayak Fishing AssociationIKFA paddle fishing proficiency programs are designed to significantly increase safety within the sport of fishing from human powered watercraft, specifically kayaks and canoes, an ancient and respected means of fishing. The IKFA paddle fishing certification courses are offered by a growing network of supportive IKFA affiliate retailers and are taught by certified kayak and canoe fishing instructors; proficient paddlers become safer and better anglers.

International Kayak Fishing AssociationThrough IKFA sanctioned events such as seminars, rodeos, demo days, and, tournaments, the members of IKFA have ample opportunities to improve their skills. IKFA members receive group discounts on equipment, special trips, and services and are invited to participate in regional IKFA fishing tournaments and other gatherings and events.

IKFA promotes respect and protection of the environment, supports conservation of natural resources and the improvement of habitat. Through the strength of common goals within the membership, we make our voice heard on legislative issues that affect access rights to entry points to our fishing grounds, conservation of our resources and education of our participants.
